The IMESA Model 1 ranges of multi-blade slitting equipment are the ideal slitters for companies converting a variety of materials, in sheets, plates or rolls including; heavy rubber, conveyor belting materials, foams & laminated foams, non-asbestos, cork, non-wovens & textiles, polyethylene, polyurethane, plastic films, fiberglass, graphite, foam tapes & reinforced tapes, roofing products and similar materials.

Solidly built, and designed for extreme reliability, cutting the hardest materials, this machine is available in working widths from 800mm up to 3200mm and cut successfully slit products up to 76mm in maximum thickness (Special Applications Available). There are two different slitting configurations available: 1) cutting system using a blade & counter-blade which is well suited for leather, textiles, asbestos free materials, thin foams & flexible materials in general and 2) cutting system using a 160 x 70 x 2mm & nylon roller, reinforced with counter-rollers on the top & bottom for heavy applications including rubber & thicker foam materials.

In addition to the standard multi-blade slitter for sheets and plates, the Model can be equipped with a variety of auxiliary material handling devices including:

• Cradle Unwinds: Suited for cutting heavy materials wound in reels without cores.
• Roller Tables: Suited for cutting heavy sheets of materials. The roller tables are fitted both on the in-feed and out-feed of the slitting line.
• Powered Conveyors: In-feed and out-feed conveyors can be fitted for handling heavy rolls of rubber materials.  Conveyors can be integrated or independent depending on the application, and in addition, a dancer roll assembly can be fitted to place the slitter in-line with existing equipment.
• Powered Unwinds & Rewinds: Designed to unwind the jumbo, slit to the desired width, and rewind on the outboard. A variety of sizes and features available to handle rolls of materials up to 10,000 Lbs in weight.
