The Guidolin Girotto high speed narrow web flat-bed die cutting systems, model GD 654D, are the ideal automated kiss cutting presses for simple & complex applications, & can be equipped with numerous optional systems to ensure excellent results in technical material converting. The 654D high speed mechanical die cutting system develops 35 mechanical tons of cutting force, has a cutting platen available in 400mm x 400mm, 500mm x 500mm or 600mm x 600mm, a fixed stroke of 60mm, with speeds ranging from 30-100 strokes per minute. The traditional architecture and features that certify the Guidolin product worldwide are employed; robust frame structure, mechanical fly-wheel driven operation (allows the energy from the power source to be supplied at a constant rate allowing higher cutting power, precision & noise-less operation), single cylinder mechanical stop adjustment for precise cutting accuracy (+/- .01mm), quick die change, ease of use, quick change-over, and modular design.

Mechanically OperatedFlywheel & camshaft driven allows the energy from the power source to be supplied at a constant rate throughout the operation. Thus allowing higher cutting power, precision, less set-up and noise- less operation.
Single Cylinder AdjustmentMicrometric single cylinder adjustment (+/- .01mm) guarantees perfect platen parallelism & eliminates the problems associated with 4-post hydraulically operated presses – i.e. die board shimming, hydraulic leaks, seal wear & loss of pressure.
Quick Die ChangePlate support cutting knife with guides that are dove tailed @ 60° for a quick and easy change of the cutting die. Cutting dies can be changed without removing the material from the machine during the production cycle.
Single Nip Roll AdjustmentA single (centered) nip roll adjustment allows for the nip rolls to be set perfectly parallel during the lamination process greatly reducing the time associated during set-up with traditional dual mechanical stop adjustments (left & right).
Modular DesignA variety of options are available to automate and customize the system to suit a wide variety of converting requirements. Most options can be added in the future.
Industrial PLCIndustrial PLC can store up to 400 jobs for quick set-up. Operational controls can be customized for special/custom converting applications.
Vision System – Cut to PrintVarious vision (registration) systems are availabile utilizing an optical photocell for reading a notch, printed references (clear, dark, color) & holograms. Registration systems are available for one (X), two (X-Y) and three (X-Y-Z) axes in a variety of accuracy levels.
Knock-Out / Part ExpulsionA wide variety of knock out stations are available with registration on the X,Y & Z axes. Centers or scrap can be removed via pneumatic expulsion, vaccum, air etc.. And finished, total-cut parts, can be stacked on a table or conveyor.
Guillotine Cutting SystemsAutomatic guillotine cutting system assembled on the machine for the transversal cut, equipped with motorized feeding rolls, friction & adjustable on the axes. Equipped on a table with a slide to move out of the way when running roll-roll applications.
In-Line Slitting SystemsA variety of in-line slitting systems are available including razor blade, blade counterblade (scissor), & pressure cut (Score) with regulation on the axes. Slitting units can be set-up for total cutting or kiss-cutting applications.
Automatic Sheet LoadingAutomatic sheet loading device with vacuum pick and place system equipped with a hydraulic lift and optical photocell to register the sheet location.

Unwind Options
  • System KS: Single unwind motorized @ variable speed from the inverter complete with 3” pneumatic expansion shaft
  • System K: Unwind separated from the machine complete with feeding rolls motorized @ variable speed from the inverter with photocell for the automatic unwinding of the material.
  • System KD/FM: Dual unwinds assembled on the machine, the upper unwind shaft is mechanically friction, while the lower unwind is friction & motorized.
  • System KK : Dual friction unwind separated from the machine & complete with feeding rolls motorized @ variable speed from the inverter, 2 photocells for to detect the end of material and one photocell for the material feeding, designed for the continuous coupling of double sided adhesives.
Inboard Unwinds/Rewinds for Liner Removal
  • System KS: Variable speed motorized unwinds assembled on the machine to apply masking for tabbing applications or for adding an additional liner.  Typically configured with the KD/FM system.
  • System KR: Electronically controlled single rewind to recover the liner prior to the kiss cutting operation.

*Please note multiple KS and KR systems can be installed for various applications including the removal/addition of the liner on the lower side of the material.

  • K2 + KR System: Upper single motorized rewind controlled by an electronic car assembled on the machine to rewind the waste removed by the K2 system.  The K2 system separates the scrap with an adjustable transversal bar and rolls covered in anti-adherent material.
  • K3 System: Pneumatic expulsion unit to evacuate the internal holes or die cut pieces with regulation on the X, Y & Z axes.  Parts can be evacuated into a chute, stacked or exited onto an out-feed belt conveyor.
Outboard Unwinds/Rewinds for Liner Removal
  • System KS: Variable speed motorized unwinds assembled on the machine adding an additional liner.
  • System KR: Electronically controlled single rewind to recover the liner.

*Please note multiple KS and KR systems can be installed for various applications including the removal/addition of the liner on the lower side of the material.

  • TL System: In-line longitudinal slitting system which can be configured with razor blade slitting, blade & counter-blade (scissor cut) or pressure cut (air score) with registration on the axe.
  • CTT System: Automatic guillotine cutting system assembled on the machine, for cutting materials with a maximum thickness of 10mm, complete with motorized feeding rolls with electronic friction for the correct positioning of the material under the blades.  This system is installed on a slide in order permit the rewinding of materials in rolls.
  • KR System: On the outboard side of the machine, 1 or 2 electronic rewinds separated from the machine controlled from the main panel for the recovery of the kiss-cut material or waste.
