FEBA revolutionized the lathe slitting industry by introducing the world’s first truly automatic log slitter. The F400 series will automatically position the blade to outside diameter of the log via sonar, centering the blade via laser regardless of the diameter or how much has been removed during the sharpening process; components which are essential for the correct use of the auto-blade angle feature & a CNC system in general. Load the log, insert the slit width, and the machine do the rest with the auto diameter reader, auto edge locator & blade top acquisition ensuring a precise and efficient converting process.

In order to stay competitive & reduce the overall cost of the lathe slitting operation, and at the same time increase profitability, converters & manufacturers are moving toward Lean Manufacturing. This concept employs one system to be very versatile, handling all blade sizes, log dimensions & finished widths, rapidly & efficiently. Saw Blade Option: The FEBA model F400 can also be equipped with a single rotating saw blade (toothed blade) for cutting logs of polyethylene, protection film tapes, coated and non-coated plastic films, silicone paper and similar materials. A dust extraction device, with an off-line aspiration system, is also fitted to the machine to remove the dust-debris generated by the saw blade cutting system. Due to the excessive weights of these materials, the F400 can be equipped with a semi-automatic or fully automatic trolley to aid in the loading and unloading of the materials.
