Description
The ATOM High Daylight Dieless Knife Cutting Table, Flashcut FLEX “HD” Series, is the ideal dieless cutting solution for cutting soft & semi-rigid materials up to 130mm in thickness. The Flashcut FLEX HD Knife Cutters are designed to cut materials such as open and closed cell foams, PVC, PU, Styrene, gasket materials, various plastic materials, adhesive laminates, rubbers, corrugated cardboard, & coupled multi-layered materials like textiles and composites.
The HD series can be equipped 3 different pneumatic oscillating knife chucks with 3 different blade widths and multiple lengths to optimize cutting at different material thicknesses. Special tools are also available in order to perform operations such as creasing, marking (plotting), ink-jet printing, kiss cutting, 45° angle cutting, high speed punching and incision.
Available Cutting Heads
- Single Tool Cutting Head (Knife Chuck Only)
- 2-Tool Cutting Head (Knife Chuck and Heavy Creaser Wheel or 45° Angle Knife)
- 5-Tool Cutting Head (Knife Chuck, light creaser wheel, kiss cut tools, punches, pen etc..)
- EMH Milling Head (1 kw Electric Milling Spindle)
- EMHD Cutting & Milling Head (Knife Chuck + 3kW Electric Milling Spindle)
The powerful 11kW vacuum pump (with the option to add a 2nd 11 kw vacuum pump) coupled with 50 (3015 S Model) independent inverter controlled vacuum sectors (Smart partitioned zoned vacuum) increase the material “hold down” preventing material movement and eliminating the sacrificial sealing of the material (or open area) commonly seen on most knife cutting tables. Available options include an overhead projection system to better utilize remnants and piece code identification, automatic knife height setting, and the lubrication device to additionally aid in the cutting of thicker polyurethane or cross-linked foams or 1” thick rubber. All of the HD models are available with either a static working surface or conveyorized belt-fed cutting surface. To increase productivity, a second cutting gantry is available (Flashcut FLEX 2H), whereas the two cutting beams are completely independent on the same working layout and operate in restricted areas granting nearly double productivity.
